- Daiki Suisan said its official app system was accessed by a third party (confirmed 15 Sep); 174,933 users registered between 1 Nov 2024 and 15 Sep 2026 may be affected: name, phone, email, gender, postal code, address, DOB. Passwords are on a separate server and not included.
- Root cause: not disclosed.
- No attacker named.
- The PPC was consulted, security and monitoring strengthened, an outside firm is investigating, users were emailed on 5 Oct; the app remains available.
